Clarification Regarding UGC Public Notice F. No. 6-8/2025(AMPC) Dated 08 October 2025
Dear Students,
We wish to update you that Emversity’s team personally met officials of the University Grants Commission (UGC) on 13 October 2025 and submitted a detailed representation explaining our model.
After considering our clarification, the UGC has
kindly accepted our representation and has taken down the earlier public notice from its official website and social media handles.
We wish to reiterate that the university(ies) you are enrolled with are
governed by the UGC and are solely responsible for awarding your degree(s) and running your programme(s). Emversity acts only as an
Industry Partner, providing admissions-marketing support, industry-skilling, and training & placement facilitation under legally permitted arrangements with such universities. Being an approved ‘Training Partner’ of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and a recognised ‘Institutional Associate’ of the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC), Emversity is uniquely positioned to assist universities with skill training and industry linkages.
Emversity is a private limited company and has never claimed to be a university, higher-education institution, or degree-awarding body under the meaning of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
We hold the highest regard for the UGC’s role as the apex regulator for higher education in India. We understand the concerns raised and are cooperating fully with the Commission to clarify any remaining queries.
