A B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) is a 3-year undergraduate degree program launched by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in India, focusing on skills development and practical, hands-on training for employability. It integrates general education with industry-relevant skills. The curriculum emphasizes a 60% practical and 40% theoretical approach, preparing students for specific industries. Emversity is appointed by universities to facilitate the industry skilling / practical component of the B.Voc program by establishing partnerships with employers.
The programs are delivered solely by the university in a regular model Emversity facilitates skills training (for practical component) and internship & placement support. In case the universities choose to utilize Emversity-NSDC Training centres that have state-of-art skill labs to provide part of the ‘applied / practical component’ of their B.Voc or work-integrated programmes, that such usage does not create or constitute an off-campus, study centre, or extension centre relationship. The Training Centres function purely as industry training sites to provide experiential exposure. These Training Centres deliver NSQF-aligned, market led and fee-based training and certifications that address sectoral workforce needs, and are NOT degree-awarding in nature
